Serving new born baby chicken

Dear Nandos Yesterday was Sunday, or, if like me you're on diet, I call it Sinday. Sinday, in my cult/religion/lifestyle called banting, is my favorite day, as it is the one day I believe I can 'sin' while eating and my sins will be forgiven (well, they won't land on my ass as a fat deposit).

We were watching a program on Nandos in the UK and how successful you have become in making those 'colonialists' so fat. Our mouths were drooling and there was not a moments hesitation when I suggested to the old man that we should get a cheeky Nandos, and pray to the banting Gods not to stake out too big a territory on my hips.

Sinday is also a lazy day in my house- where doing as little as possible is still doing too much. After watching the delicious cookery, we jumped on the interwebs to discover you deliver in my area. Living in the deepest South, I was pleasantly surprised. After much debate/argument we settled on a few options (apparently society and my bank manager frown upon ordering the entire menu- much to my dismay). Our order was placed. Anticipation began. We prepared ourselves for the 45 minute waiting period until our half hen with spuds, and a Grande Meal were delivered. Continuing to watch the rest of your success story, we were famished. Much to our dismay, an hour had passed with no cluck cluck in my tummy. After 90 minutes we were so hungry we could've eaten the **** out of a low flying duck, so we called the store. The driver had left already, but obviously went to deliver elsewhere first, not aware that two people were dying of starvation. Ten minutes later, your driver phoned to say he is lost. I can, if I stand on a ladder on my roof probably see your store from my house. You could've thrown me my food, so I'm not sure how he got lost. Not wanting to cause a scene because by this stage I was considering cannibalism, the old man walked in with the brown packet of love. Grubs up...

What a disappointment. Now, I know much has been said about the price of your food, and let's face it- you really have to sell an arm and a leg to afford anything on your menu, but its Sinday, so I thought it would be worth it. Yes, your chickens go to private schools and have medical aid, but they should then be privileged enough to give off more meat. When did you start culling chickens so young? My 'winglets' as you like to call them, were not only so small, but were so dry and cold that I wanted to knit them a Jersey. It was like eating chicken biltong. After nearly needing an emergency root canal trying to pull it apart, I gave some to my dog who is a four- legged Hoover. Not even he was interested. No sauce was evident, and its like your griller works at a crematorium and loves his job. The burger was ok, but the lettuce was like something the poor chicken had eaten then had diarrhea, then was cremated and you put that on my burger. Nothing Grande about this meal.

Being hungry we just ate, but it was not worth the wait. Such a disappointment in the service, the cold food, and the tiny 'winglets'. You should be reported to the SPCA for serving chicken wings from toddlers. Last week, my Sinday was eating from Africaz Chicken Bluff, and it was fantastic. The service, the food and the prices were outstanding, so I think I shall stick to them in future.

Nandos Edwin Swales: Food: 4/10 Service: 2/10 Prices vs Quality and Quantity: 0/10 Hopefully you take a page out of your own book and 'Clean up your Act'.
