Selling mildew buns

Last week Saturday i purchased a meal at Nandos on Edwin swales and the bun had black spots on it, when I informed the staff they confidently rep**** that's the way the buns are. This is appalling as the bun had black spots on it ..clearly mildew. The staff and management might be ok to sell expired/stale buns but as a consumer it disgusts me that she could not offer an apology and rectify the situation. I also complained to Nandos and its 3 days later with no response. This is absurd as Nandos is no cheap meal ...We pay for quality not mildew buns! With a disease like listeriosis spreading how can we trust that an establishment like Nandos can be safe to consume?

Dear Micheal

There’s more to Nando’s than delicious PERi-PERi chicken. Although that’s a big part of it, we also like to ruffle our feathers about the exceptional experience we create on the whole at our restaurants across South Africa and the world.

We would like to thank you for taking the time to submit your feedback to us through the Hello Peter website. Any comments we receive, both good and bad, give us the opportunity to improve the quality of our service so that it meets both our high standards and our customers’ expectations.

We have directed your feedback onto the relevant team who will get back to you in two shakes of a chicken’s tail.

PERi-PERily yours,

The Nando's customer care team
