****** manager Belinda treats non-white customers like dirt
<p>On Sunday the 22nd of May, myself and my partner looked forward to having our usual Nando's meals., unfortunately our excitement was ruined due to the poor service received, particularly from the manager Belinda.</p> <p> </p> <p>Nandos seemed to be controlling a flood in the store and the cashier explained that they could only do take aways instead of issuing cutlery, I understood and accepted this. What I couldn’t accept was the dirty tables the Nandos staff expected us to enjoy our meals. Very politely I asked them to clean the dirty table, yet after several times of asking nobody could find a cloth to clean. This caused me frustration and I decided to cancel my order as nobody was coming to my need of dining on a clean table.</p> <p> </p> <p>I asked for the manager and out came Belinda, who totally ignored me, greeted a Caucasian customer and proceeded back to her office. I had to call out to her to return to assist me. She didn’t greet me and just asked in a put off type of tone, what do I want. I told her that I wanted to cancel my order and without bothering to listen to my reason nor acknowledging me, she took my slip and refunded my money. I asked her doesn't she want to know why and she told me: "You got what you wanted, what else is there for me to do?" How does she know I wanted that? She didn't bother to ask me?</p> <p> </p> <p>She then walked away without allowing time for me to respond and proceeded to help a Caucasian customer who didn't even order yet. When I told her I'm still talking to her, she ignored me and continued being super polite to the Caucasian customer. When I told her she can expect this review, she rep**** in a very sarcastic tone: "No problem, enjoy your day."</p> <p> </p> <p>I found this service appalling and didn't expect this from a well-established brand such as Nandos where customer service is usually exceptional.</p> <p> </p> <p>What I found even more sad was the fact that we have people still living in the past and what's sadder than that is that Belinda is non-Caucasian.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
