Nandos staff: Lindo Mkhize laughs at his manager requesting him to follow lockdown rules on sanitizing

I entered the Nandos Newlands West shop and stood in the designated area as per covid 19 regulations. There was no visible sanitizer. I waited for a staff to approach with a sanitizer. I saw many people walk in after me without sanitizing as there was nobody at the entrance nor was there a visible sanitizer. The sanitizer which I initially could not see due to its location was the one that you had to touch, as nandos couldn't afford the revamped versions of sanitizers bottles placed on equipment where you can access the handwash without touching the bottle that everybody else must touch. I placed an order and stood in a corner designated for customers to stand in order to maintain social distancing. The staff member of Nandos Newlands, an african male named Lindo Mkhize got angry and pointed that I must stand behind a table. I comp**** irrespective that I was standing in the correct area as designated by Nandos Newlands and in the form of signs on the floor, I made my safety priority. A female staff member that was packing the take away, touched the screen monitor where the orders are placed then wiped her hands on the side of her skirt then picked up the chips box which overflowed with chips and her hands touched those chips and placed that in a bag for a client . I told the female staff to sanitize including the male staff member named Lindo Mkhize and neither staff member listened to me. Lindo just laughed and smiled as if this was a joke during a pandemic. I spoke to manager Ntombi, whom informed she has reminded both staff members to adhere to lockdown regulations and ensure that compliance is taking place, instead Lindo Mkhize laughed at his manager in my presence. If Nandos are employing staff to bully and mock customers like the cashier Lindo Mkhize during a time of a pandemic instead of being compliant with lockdown regulations, then I have no doubt that this nandos branch in newlands will be an instigator of spreading the virus if compliance at all levels is not respected. Not even management, Ntombi could Get her staff Lindo Mhize to respect her decision as Lindo laughed at her whilst standing behind the till. It's best you relieve such personnel who not only disobey their manager but because they take peoples lives for granted by disregarding lockdown regulations, Lindo did not even call his manager when I asked him to. I had to ask another staff member to call the manager to report this matter. Customers becareful of Nandos Newlands failing to adhere to regulations and sanitize as these regulations were merely a joke for Nandos staff, Lindo Mkhize
