Nandos misleading pricing on menus for kids meals
On 25/08/2015 at around 17:30 I went to Nandos in Bayview to purchase supper for my family. I noticed that they had a kids meal advertised on their menu board for a kids meal consisting of a kids burger, chips, a Liquifruit juice and an ice cream for R39.90. I thought this was a good deal so went ahead and ordered a kids meal for my daughter. When I went to collect my order, I noticed that the ice cream was not among the items I received. When I asked about it, I was told by the server that the ice cream is not included in the kids meal and I would have to pay for it separately. When I pointed out that their menu clearly includes the ice cream in the pricing of the kids meal, I was told there was nothing she could do about it. She then took my receipt, left the bag with my order in it on the counter and went to serve another customer. I checked the Nandos website at home to make sure that I wasn't imagining things, but their website menu said the same thing as the restaurant menu. I think it is absolutely deplorable and ********* of Nandos to falsely advertise in this manner. I was also shocked at the dismissive \Like it or lump it"attitude of the server. """
