Nandos gives two hoots about service at Gateway!
Yesterday my friend and I went to Nandos Gateway for lunch. We were in a rush, but we knew Nandos service in Pinetown and Sarnia are terrific so we expected the same here. They were busy but we ordered anyway because of the previous mentioned.<br> <br> We placed our order of normal chicken meals (Nothing fancy or too big to handle) at 12:50. By 13:20 we still had not received our meals- actually we did not even receive our drinks as yet! <br> <br> The manager was no where to be seen. With my previous encounters at my usual Nandos, the managers walk around and ask at least twice if everything is okay- nothing of the sort here. We then got up to leave. With no manager in site, we went back to the cashier and asked if we could please get a refund. She went and got the manager from god knows where and she began refunding us. She did not greet us, she did not ask what the problem was, she did not apologise! All she did was speak in Zulu about us and the fact that we are complaining for nothing to the cashier (shame for her we understand Zulu). She gave us our refund slip, asked for our name and number and walked away! I will never go to that branch again! I walked out disgusted! <br>
There's more to Nando's than delicious PERi-PERi chicken. Although that's a big part of it, we also like to ruffle our feathers about the exceptional experience we create on the whole at our restaurants across South Africa and the world.
