Disgusting Food!
We haven't eaten Nando's for a few years now, reason being a steep decline in quality and size (chickens) and the rising prices. Yesterday, we decided to give it a go. We went to Nando's Meadowdale Mall - Germiston. I ordered a cheese carnival burger Lemon & herb plus chips and my daughter ordered a chicken wrap lemon & herb. First of all, the chips were abysmal – totally pale, limp and soft - not crispy at all & tasteless not even a spec of salt. Secondly, the chicken breast on the burger had no flavour whatsoever, I actually took the breast out only to see that it was pale and tough and obviously "boiled" with no grill marks or marinade or smoky flavour or ANY flavour at all. As for the promised 'decadent cheese sauce' it was the plastic mass produced gunk that you get on chip n dip or steers cheesy chips! My daughter's wrap was no better. I cannot believe that we paid R118 for food that was absolutely awful. Cheers Nandos. Maybe look at spending money in getting your food to an acceptable and flavoursome level at least, instead of all the very clever ads! Remember that the Food is of course the CORE of your business. You won't be seeing us again EVER!
