Namibia Wildlife Resorts (Bad state of Waterberg, Ais-Ais and Etosha resorts)

We were recently traveling through Namibia for 6+ weeks during February / March 2020. During our tour we wanted to utilise NWR camping facilities at eg Waterberg Plateau (as our first choice) after we visited the resort in 2008. There, at the time, were luscious lawns, clean ablutions, etc. What a rude awakening! :-( This resort deteriorated so badly that we left without even attempting to stay over. Their charges were extremely expensive (N$ 830 per night) to camp! The ablutions were neglected and the campsites in a bad state! We found the same conditions when visiting the Nomutoni and Halali Restcamps in Etosha. What a disgrace! Maintenance were lacking and the resorts were neglected to the extend that one can't help to feel dismay and total disbelief! Ais-Ais is going the same route - paving were overgrown with grass, the ablutions were in a bad state (bulbs were not replaced, the buildings are ancient and not maintained, etc). Namibia Wildlife Resorts: where are your client service/pride/loyalty/commitment? We would NOT recommend anyone to use your facilities purely as a result of the don't care attitude demonstrated at said resorts. Tourist are advised to stay away and rather utilise the private resorts in the vicinity / just outside the entrance eg at Nomutoni. NWR: Wake up. You need to improve and start maintaining the previously fantastic resorts or....
