Do not take their word, get it in writing.
The SAMTRAC class of Feb 2007 was told by the facilitator (Ms Anne Nare) that the SAMTRAC course was in the process of obtaining NQF level 5 certification. We were assured that as soon as it happens our National Learners Database information will be updated to reflect this NQF Level. Eight years later and this still didn't happen. Obviously if we knew then that this was just a ploy to get our money, I for one would not have carried on with the course as the \qualification"is not even worth the paper it is printed on. I was informed that I can apparently do a bridging course - which is going to cost me another R10"

I tried to call you to discuss this matter but unfortunately your mobile went to voice mail. In 2007 there was no unit standards available from SAQA or any of the Setas against which to accredit courses of this level. With your query relating back to a course that took place nearly 8 years ago and that the information provided to you was verbal, it will be very difficult for me to find out what was said by the different parties involved. However in the interim SAQA have developed unit standards and this course is now accredited within a skills program, and if you attend the bridging course you will be able to attain the respective credits.
