Do not trust Mzansi Toppers

Please do not trust Sbusiso Nhlonipho Mhlongo from Mzansi Toppers Security and Services to do any work for you. I hate doing this to a local business, especially since Sbu has done really good work for me in the past, but after seven months of begging and pleading, and ultimately having money ****** by him, I feel I need to warn others in Randburg / Gauteng. Six months ago, Sbu started installing beams for my garage. This was supposed to be a fairly cheap project (recommended by him). Then it turned out that the motor I had wasn't compatible with the beams, and it just got more an more expensive. Ultimately, I paid about four times the original quotation. I have always paid Sbu in advance, and never had an issue. It's been one consistent process of reminding and begging him to come and complete the work this year though, with one excuse after the other. Sbu isn't responding to any of my messages anymore, and I've clearly lost the last money I paid him in advance, short of making a case against him to try to reclaim it. Part of the last work was supposed to be to reposition the beams, which are currently useless, as they're too close to the garage door. I'm bitterly disappointed. After posting this in the local Melville Facebook group, multiple people came forward with exactly the same experience. This is therefore not a one-time occurrence, and though Sbu seems trustworthy, he is a ***********.
