Favouritsm, abyssmal client service and breach of their own lease

<p>When I signed a lease with this agency they were extremelly professional and helpful.</p> <p> </p> <p>When I decided to terminate my lease, I had arranged the date and time for the inspection as required of me and arranged the necessary cleaning service</p> <p> </p> <p>When it came time for the inspection, the agent had stated that the landlord (Who is a close friend of hers) would not be present for the inspection and that she would handle giving over the keys and checking that the property was in good order. After completing the inspection and stating that all was correct, she ***ured me that the landlord would pay the deposit with interest soon.</p> <p> </p> <p>After a week, I received a statement from the landlord wanting to deduct money off of my deposit for cleaning and items she claimed needed replacing. The lease states that if the landlord is not present for the inspection, they acknowledge that the property is in good working order and is required to pay the full deposit and interest. With help from a friend, we approached the agent involved via phone call to discuss this. She was blatantly rue on the phone saying that she would not get involved and hung up on us. We then contacted the owner of the agency to inform her of her rude employee and that they had breached their own lease by getting involved in the inspection. She agreed to this and said she would talk to the agent and get the matter sorted with the landlord. We contacted her on several occasions asking what was happening with this, to which she constantly stated that she would call the landlord again to find out what was happening and get back to us, to which she never did.</p> <p> </p> <p>The day before the deadline for the deposit was to be paid, I sent an SMS to ask what was happening. She then rudely rep**** saying that the deposit had nothing to do with her and I was to contact the landlord.</p> <p> </p> <p>I have attached a screenshot of us trying to contact her but I do also have more screenshots of this as well as the highlighted lease stated the breaches.</p> <p> </p> <p>They were rude and unprofessional through this entire procedure. They did not resolve the matter even after they said they would and admitted to breaching their lease by getting involved. They have shown favouritsm to the landlord and they have done nothing to show that they are a reputable company interested in the needs of their clients. While I am seeking legal help regarding this matter, I would strongly suggest that you do not do any business with this company as they seem to be only interested in the well-being of their friends and the money they receive.</p> <p> <u></u><strike></strike></p>
