Bad administration and no arrangement for paying later or make an arrangement with the Vet

Good day it's a week ago that my dog get epileptic symptoms and when I phoned and ask around 7 pm for the person that answer the phone what my dilemma was she said it's after hours and the consultation is R1800 + R2500 because they will keep him for the night + another amount for medication that the Vet will use and if I bring in the dog I must pay the money immediately. When I ask if there's a Vet available just to guide me she said the Vet will only be available from 8 pm then I ask desperately I don't have that amount to pay immediately but if they will allow me to make a plan to get the huge amount she said no only cash before they admit him. It was very very bad to see the dog suffer like that and I phone at 7 am to ask can I please bring in my dog because then the consultation will only be R390 the lady said yes but the Vet will only be available at 8 am. So l phone another Vet that was willing to help me and much much cheaper than My Pets Vet so I want other people to know that this Vet's administration personnel don't know the cost and it's scarry that everytime you ask the cost it's different??????? The vet tells you during consultation and if you need to pay it's another amount
