Mechanical problems

I am a 70 year old woman, my car broke done in December 2018. After I already had it at a garage to be fixed and a auto electrician in October and November. I phoned a garage in Parys as we moved just a few days before the car broke, to give me a quatation, they said the quotation will cost R350 and I agreed for them to tow the car. After I phoned several times, the owner of the garage phoned me and said they had to take out the engen to give the quotation. I thought that, that will be done in the first place as I asked him to give a quotation to fix the car 100%. He phoned and said that he have a quotation of R33 035.48. I spoke to my daughter as she said she will loan me the money. I already spent R15 000 on the car before. As this amount was very high, I said no maybe I must rather sell the car as is. The owner of the garage said that if we don't take the quotation the cost is now R4500, but he has another option then not to repair the old engine but to put in a used engine then the quotation is R19 135.45 and the car will be 100%. We did agree on the quotation of R19 135.45, as it did not make sence to pay R4500 for nothing. I had to pay a deposit of R15000 before he started work on the car that I paid the same day (20/12/2019) After more than 2 month, I started to complain because I still dit not received the car back. If I phoned they were rude and always had some or other excuse. Then the owner phoned and said there is a electrical problem on the car he must sent the car to a auto electrician. I said that we first want a quotation. The quotation R2 173.91. After weeks I phoned and asked when the car will be fixed, they said that they can't get hold of the auto electrician and I must phone him myself. I did not agree as the garage took the car to the auto electrician I felt that it was there responsibility. On the 12/2/2019 the owner of the garage said the car is ready and I can pick it up. When I had to pay the difference in the quotation and the deposit the total was now R26 215.63 and no longer the amount of R19135 + R2173.91 = R21308.91. I was not happy about the difference in the quotation. After months I was guaranteed that the car is 100% fixed. The owner said after a week I must bring the car back for a check up. I drove 57 km to Vanderbijlpark and the car broke down, the owner was phoned and he said he is in Vanderbilpark and will come and tow the car. I was on my way to a dockters appointment, they towed the car and we were left in Vanderbijlpark and had to pay R600 for a taxi to take us back to Vanderbijlpark. He took the car back to the auto electrician as he said it is a electrical problem. After a week I complained because I heard nothing back, the replay was I must phone the auto electrician myself, that I was again not happy about that, but did. After another week the auto electrician phoned and said I can pick up the car as I did. After about 400km the car broke down again, it overheated. The owners son came to tow the car after they were phoned 5 times and with a fight for them to come and take the car and fix it. I told them I am not paying again to fix the car. After a week he phoned and said I can pick up the car and the cost is R915.10 for the radiator hose that burst (that was the pipe that burst in December and not even in the engen when they first took the car), after a argument and they refusing to release the car, I paid the amount again. During this argument we were told that we can take him to the ambudsman he already won all his other cases before. We were told by several people in town after they heard that we took the car there of several problems that they had with this machanic. During this I did asked my daughter to help me to speak to them as I am 70 years old not always able to do these things myself. There were several arguments and more than once was the owner and his workers (family of him) very rude and screamed or through down the phone. As on the quotation there is a 6 month/10 000 km guarantee. I was also told that after a week the car must be returned for inspection, as it was because it broke down and was towed to the garage by the owner. It must also be returned after 1000 km for a oil filter change and inspection. It is not even 1000 km (the trio km was cancelled by the garage the last time the car was there) but on the photos I took it is not yet a 100 km later and the car broke down again.

What do I do? You can't speak to the garage, can't take the car back as we had a argument the previous time (that is taped) and he chaced us out off the garage.

After R27 131.82 later and not even a 1000 km the car broke down again. The car overheat again.

I really need advise.
