48 Club Drive, Zimbali - Pricey and poor property

We booked this self catering property for 9 days over December 2017 and were extremely disappointed with our stay. Some of the issues we had included: 1) Broken glass inside and outside (glass on the patios and the pool area) . My 8 year old daughter cut her foot in her bedroom on what we learnt was glass from a broken shower door. 2) Black mold in the bathrooms. 3) Broken dishwasher and the tumble dryer broke while we were there. 4) Not enough cutlery for 8 people. 5) Fridge was leaking and the freezer didn't keep ice or ice cream frozen. The freezer alarm that goes off all night interrupting your sleep is a particularly 'novel' idea.

We reported these issues to our accommodation agent and were told it would be reported to the owner who basically blamed the previous tenants, which frankly shouldn't become our problem for a daily rate of R7,000. We will not be booking accommodation with this company again and would warn anyone else against dealing with them and would recommend staying away from this property (48 Club Drive) in particular. You can enjoy much more affordable accommodation with professional cleaning from other accommodation agents in Ballito.
