Unfair practice from NPO Mvulo pre school
Please assist where possible, in the year 2020 i couldn't afford to pay school fees for my daughter at Mvulo pre school Soweto so what they did they refused to give me my daughters photos for her graduation she was in grade R and i paid those photo in full, then later 2021 when i wanted to enroll my son he is currently 3 years old the principal of the Center Miss Mase she told me that they wont accept my son unless i pay outstanding fees of my daughter who went there in 2020 i then tried my best as a father to pay the outstanding fees the total amount i paid for two kids was R1080 then when my son went to the center for his first day i was contact by the principal of the center and she said she cant accept my son as there is no space and she gave me a refund of R480?? and as we speak i cant find my son a place of learning as i don't have enough money for fees and registration i tried several times to speak to her as a parent but she she refused to come to terms with me. if you know where i can find with regards to this issues kindly assist where possible.
It is not about the school fees, as a parent who has been with us for more than 4 years you surely fami**** with the centers policies and procedures.
Firstly when /if a parent is outstanding with fees, the procedure is that you make the arrangements by signing a late payment form, you have been in numerous times contacted on the following dates (16,17 and 20 December).
Your wife’s agreement was that she will honour the payment at the end of December, however no payment was done and no communication from your side whatsoever.
Secondly- Re-registration forms are issued every September, again Mr Thabang K, you have failed to sign and return it, even if the due date is 3 months later.
Mvulo prioritizes parents that have kids in the School before January intake so that we can have correct numbers in classes to avoid overcrowding as per Health and Department of Social Services guidelines.
You only deposited money and sent your child to school with the transport driver no communication from your side.
As I am writing this response the principal has arranged at a closest school for your child please liaise with the office for detailed information.
Based on the R480.00 refund you received since you have an outstanding R600.00 from 2019. So, from the R1080 you paid, R600.00 was deducted hence you were refunded R480.00.
We trust that our response will find you well and Mvulo Pre School wishes you the best in your future indevours.
