They've EVENTUALLY Managed to Cancel on of my Policies (Well Done!!!)

Here's food for thought: Out of about 251 reviews for MVIA, 226 have been negative, 1 star reviews, this should give you an idea of how bad this business is.

The below email from them explains exactly how poor their operation is:

We have received your complaint, and we want to explain some important details about how your monthly debit orders work in simpler terms.

When you accepted our products and they became active, we arranged with your bank to automatically deduct the monthly payment from your account. This process is automated and done in advance, so you don`t have to worry about remembering to pay. (Don't have to worry about remembering to pay?!!! As if this is my first debit order?! Now I can't get you to stop debiting my account even when I tried).

If you ever decide you no longer want the products you purchased, you can request to cancel them. Once we receive and process your cancellation request, we can`t stop the bank from deducting the money because they already have the instructions. (You can't stop the bank from debiting my account??, Just instruct them to stop!!! This sounds like a huge "beneficial" flaw in your system.)

However, you have some options to stop the debit order. You can contact your bank and ask them to stop it, or you can use your bank`s mobile app to dispute the payment on the day it`s due. If you do this, the money will be refunded to your account right away. (I have already blocked you on my FNB account, but because your account number changes, blocking you from debiting my account doesn't work. The bank told me to contact you to stop debiting my account)

Keep in mind that it might take up to 5 days for your bank to confirm whether the transaction was successful or not. This is all part of an automated process.

Once your bank confirms the payment, we, the collector, allocate the money to different sections and product providers. We also pay commissions to the intermediary who helped you buy the products.

If you ever need to cancel and get your money back, it`s a bit more complicated because it involves a third party. This process can take up to 45 days, and we apologize for any inconvenience.

Remember, with modern bank apps, you have the power to prevent or reverse debit orders. If you need more information or assistance with the debit order process, you can contact us at ***re.

We are working to find better solutions for cases where a cancellation request comes in after the payment instructions are already sent to the bank. Your concerns have been escalated, and we will communicate with the collections department to explore alternative options. (You guys need to work a lot harder at this, it's genuinely a nightmare dealing with this company, I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy).

Ironic that this is the only way to communicate with this company, Hello Peter is actually a customer service platform for MVIA, absolutely shocking.

I want to be refunded the 2 months that you UNFAIRLY DEBITED MY ACCOUNT BECAUSE YOU DID NOT CANCEL MY POLICY WHEN REQUESTED!!!!
