🚨 **MVIA WARRANTY — THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU WASTE YOUR MONEY!
🚨 **MVIA WARRANTY — THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU WASTE YOUR MONEY! 🚨**
⭐ **0/10 — WOULD NOT RECOMMEND**
**“Peace of mind” is apparently only available until you actually need to claim.**
I took out MVIA warranty cover believing that I was protecting myself against expensive mechanical failures. When the time came to rely on that warranty, I discovered just how difficult it can be to get meaningful assistance.
My vehicle suffered a **gearbox-related mechanical failure**. The policy shows **R50,000 gearbox cover**, yet after the investigation MVIA authorised only **R10,925 including VAT** for the repair.
Their explanation? The **valve body was identified as the root cause**, and other failed components were treated as “resultant damage.”
This is where I have a serious problem.
If a component **inside the gearbox** fails and causes other components to fail, why is the customer expected to carry the cost of those failures when the policy specifically provides gearbox cover?
I have now had to challenge the interpretation of the policy wording and the basis on which the claim was assessed.
And this is exactly why I am writing this review.
⚠️ **A warranty is supposed to protect you when something goes wrong. It shouldn't feel like you need a law degree to fight for the cover you paid for.**
My experience has involved frustration, delays, disputed coverage and having to repeatedly question how the policy is being app****.
The policy may advertise substantial cover, but **what matters is what happens when you actually need to use it.**
💥 **My advice to anyone considering MVIA: READ EVERYTHING. Ask questions. Don't simply rely on the headline cover amount. Find out exactly what happens when multiple components fail and what exclusions they may rely on.**
Because in my experience, **paying for warranty cover and actually getting meaningful cover when you need it can be two very different things.**
I am extremely disappointed with how this matter has been handled.
**Would I take MVIA warranty cover again? ABSOLUTELY NOT.**
**Would I recommend it to friends, family or other motorists? NO.**
🚨 **MOTORISTS: DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE SIGNING UP.**
Don't wait until your vehicle breaks down to discover what your warranty actually means.
**MVIA — this is not the level of customer experience I expected after paying for your warranty.**
