MVIA Poor Claims Process and Unfair Rejection

I’ve had a very frustrating experience with this company. When it comes to deducting payments, they are extremely efficient. However, when it’s time to process a claim, the experience is completely different.

I was asked multiple times to submit photos, which I did—twice—yet there was still back-and-forth with no clear resolution. At one point, I was even instructed to move my car to another dealership. This is highly impractical, especially considering the condition of my tyres at the time.

After all the delays and repeated requests, my claim was ultimately rejected, with the company stating that I am not covered. This was never clearly communicated upfront and only came after I had already gone through the entire process.

Overall, the lack of transparency, excessive documentation requests, and poor communication made this an exhausting and disappointing experience. I would not recommend this service based on how my claim was handled.

Upon inspection, I was told only one tire would be covered instead of both — despite the fact that I’ve been paying monthly for this exact situation.

Let’s be clear: premiums are deducted without fail, yet when it’s time to honour a claim, the response suddenly becomes selective and inadequate. Offering to cover only one tire is not a solution — it’s an attempt to minimise responsibility.

What’s even more unacceptable is that declining an insufficient offer led to my entire claim being rejected. That is both unreasonable and defeats the entire purpose of having this cover.

If this is how claims are handled, then the value of this policy is highly questionable.

It’s very interesting how efficient this company is when it comes to deducting money from my account every month, yet suddenly becomes unavailable when it’s time to honour a valid claim.

After submitting my claim, I was put through unnecessary back-and-forth, asked to resubmit photos multiple times, and even advised to move my vehicle under conditions that were already unsafe due to the state of my tyres. Despite all of this, the outcome? They offered to cover only ONE tyre instead of the full claim I am paying for monthly.

When I rightfully declined this partial payout, they rejected the entire claim altogether.

Now, after I have reversed the debit order due to this unfair treatment, they are suddenly calling me. Where was this urgency and communication when I needed assistance? Even after responding to my HelloPeter review, there was no immediate effort to resolve the issue — only silence.

This raises serious concerns about their commitment to customer service and their willingness to honour what clients are paying for. It feels like customers are valued only when payments are being collected, not when support is needed.
