Claim delayed for 2 weeks while the car at the workshop
Claim delayed for 2 weeks while the car at the workshop. Submitted a claim on the 28th of April and the workshop furnished the insurance with all the documents required, on the 29th they asked for more documentation and the workshop did provide and they copied me on the correspondence. On the 4th the company asks me to sent the same information sent by the workshop, I sent the claim form with all supporting documentation from the workshop, on Wednesday I'm told that I have claimed for control arm but the claim form, diagnosis and failure report states clearly that the problem is the alternator, an the quote is for the alternator, on the 7th I am told that the workshop did not indicate what's wrong with the alternator but the failure reports states clearly that the bearing inside the alternator failed. I had to direct the agent to the emails sent by myself and the workshop for the report that they allege was not sent. Long story short, if you have 2 weeks and time to waste calling this guy's everyday and being sent from pillar to post by the Cape Town call centres, do sign up of their products.Rather save the premiums for the rainy days that MVIA insure will not show up for. Vehicle is still at the workshop waiting for the outcome of the claim
