Total disregard for clients rights
Old Mutual insure has been incredibly inconsiderate of the client throughout my most recent interaction with them. It disgusts me that I have to resort to these measures in order to make my voice heard.
Due to their innate need to cut corners in the cost to company department, I am without the use of my vehicle for going on 5 months. I have utilised my 2 month paid for car hire on my policy and I am unable to work as travel is intrinsic to my position. I have had no response as to why my car hire should not be paid for by the company that has caused said unavoidable delay, Old Mutual themselves. Delictually, but for Old Mutuals lack of duty to the client, this delay would not have occurred.
To add insult to injury, there is no definite timeline to when I will recieve my vehicle repaired, from their services. I am appalled at the their sheer disregard for the time and livelihood of their clients and deeply disappointed.Old Mutual disregarded the exact advice of a service provider with decades of relevant experience in favor of an assessor on their dime because they hoped to reduce their costs, this with total disregard for the position they are putting their client in. They were far from oblivious. It was a calculated, concise decision to not order new parts that were beyond repair. Eventually, it became obvious they had no option but to proceed with the initial recommendation. At this stage, they already had my vehicle for months without much progress.
Why have experts? If their bottom line is always paramount and the rights of the client are disregarded? We discharge our responsibility timeously, and they are allowed to refuse us service if we don't, why isn't their requisite and reciprocal responsibility questioned?
This had been so incredibly stressful for us, we have lost time, incurred costs daily and met with inconsistent behavior and being ignored.
This process has disgusted me to the core, their behavior has been blatant. The only efficient and consistent thing about old mutual is the date of their debit order.
