I was insured with Old Mutual iwyze car insurance. I had an accident last year and the car was written off. When iwyze was supposed to pay they came up with excuses and said i had not disclosed a previous loss on the car before joining their insurance. The loss was a scratch which was on the front passenger door which was fixed before joining the insurance, and was not the cause of the accident. I was supposed to be paid back my premiums which were amounting to R11k since they refused to pay off the car cause of the scratch which was not there when i joined them. I received R1k instead and was told the other money paid assessors and admin costs, i was never provided with proof for such even though i requested. I will never advice anyone to join these ******. When they have to pay out they try and find anything for them not to pay. I went through both emotional and financial trauma because of this company. The car is now standing and written off and i cant do anything with it. I regret the day i took their policy.
