Stay away from Mutual & Federal Insurance!
Everything bad you've ever feared about insurance companies, this company embodies it. Bad service. No feedback. Passing the buck. Avoidance. The left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing. Totally abject non service.
We had an incident on 16 October 2017 where the guilty party is insured by Mutual & Federal and we sit here 14 December 2017 no closer to resolving the claim. This is despite M & Federal CONFIRMING in writing that they had all the documents and necessary details on 10 November 2017!
We even have a written apology dated 10 November 2017 from ASHISH RAMKISSOON (Team Leader: Recoveries & Liabilities | Claims COE - Old Mutual Insure, 3rd Floor,, Mutual Park, Cape Town) assuring me that he would (exact quote): "I have now expedited the file to a negotiator Neil Wyngaard."
Obviously, this has not happened despite repeated requests for information on any progress.
If you have a policy with Mutual & Federal, cancel it asap and get someone else.
