Refused to pay vehicle claim......D Dyer: Policy number ***7*001

Why do I have insurance?????

I am aware of the fact that in certain instances an insurance claim may be refused due to policy holder and driver of a vehicle not having a valid license or being under the influence of alcohol when an accident occurs and the vehicle being written off in some cases....BUT when this is not the case and an insurance policy is up to date on payments SURELY a claim should then be fully paid and vehicle account settled in full. AND in the time that the said insurance company took their time to access a case and still letting the stop order for BMW FINANCE and the Insurance laments in this time still went off my account every month. If a vehicle is ****** and an insurance claim is lodged all and most insurance companies stop these payments immediately.

My accident was on Friday, 7 October 2016 in Walker Drive, Port Elizabeth and claim lodged on Monday, 10 October 2016. After numerous correspondance and telephone calls between myself and my broker at Brolink and me realising that this claim is going to be a long stretched decision from their side. I only received confirmation e-mail on 13 December 2016 notifying me of their final decision to NOT settle my claim against said Company.

On the evening of my accident I was SOBER and fully aware and at my complete positive state of mind and driving home down Walker Drive. The street lights don't work at the location where the incident took place and visibility was POOR. In short I swerved for a dog and hit the pavement and tried to get my vehicle back onto the tar and lost consciousness for a time I am not completely sure about and when the vehicle came to a standstill all the airbags had popped. In correspondence with the insurance Company I was told that I had **** to them about the speed I had travelled and I suspect that if my vehicle then had accelerated after I tried to get it back in the road it was in the time that I was out for the count and not knowing obviously then what was actually happening. There were no witnesses or any SAPS or any emergency services on the scene of the accident. Believe it or not my Dad passed and took me to Greenacres Hospital. Part of the Claims documentation they wanted was casualty records which I cannot provide due to the fact that I was treated as a private account because I realised only in the emergency room that I must've lost my wallet with my Medical Aid card at the scene.

In the time frame between the date of accident and date of final decion about settlement they have 2 months insurance payments and 2 months vehicle payments and then storage of nearly 2months paid by the Insurance Company before releasing the vehicle to me BUT not settling the claim and I am sorry but I see no reason not to at least do the effort in trying to solve this dispute as I have been unemployed as from end November.

It is not fair to think that in this time I have to still have this account with BMW Financing and that because of this Claim not being paid and in my opinion I really don't understand why and this being without valid reason...this is unheard of and doesn't help with our current debt and recession situation in our country and with the fact that I as a young citizen must build a future for myself and a family with this debt hanging so unnessessarily on my credit record due to the fact that I will have to try and purchase other means of transport and even trying to insure another vehicle will foresee problems in the future.

Now I plead with you as from recommendations from the internet and friends and family to please help me in this matter.
