Overdeducting premiums
Insurance is in my wife's name, and over the last two moths they've deducted significantly more than the agreed premium. When querying, the feedback that we got was the following:
"The premium for August is R533.03 plus R1470.12 R2003.15
July premium was made up by the following debits R22.18 plus R914.91 plus R64.23 PLUS 621.02 plus 8013"
They don't even know why the amount deducted does not agree to the insurance policy that they've provided.
When querying what this all means I'm told to refer to my wife's broker. When doing so I receiver the following feedback (including some of the following) from my wife's broker:
"U are not in the possition to make demands of any kind." " In next week I will have a answer for her, and her alone."
Strange considering that >half of the assets on the insurance policy is mine and was paid for by me.
Don't even consider Old Mutual, they are as unprofessional as can come. It also takes an eternity for them and their brokers to get back to you, and they just debit whatever they want from your bank account not knowing what they're doing.
