Over 3 months to repair my vehichle
I submitted the claim in June or July 2023 and nothing was being done about it until I called in querying the status of the claim on several occasions. I was not receiving any feedback or anything until I called to query the status of my claim. After 5 months the claim was finally authorized and I took my car in for repairs on the 10th of November 2023. A week later I received a call from the assessor asking if my vehicle was with the repairer so it came to my attention that Iemas was not even aware that my vehicle was being repaired.
I have already taken the courtesy car in which I have 30 days commenced on the 10th November and 3 weeks after I took my car in I am being told by the repairer that my claim is placed on hold due to additional parts being requested. I called my claim consultant to ask why it has been placed on hold and the response was that an investigation is required before they can authorize the additional parts and this investigation might take up to 10 days to be resolved.
My issue is that by the time this investigation is done and the repairer can continue working, the rental on the courtesy will have lapsed leaving me without a vehicle for the duration of the time it will take the repairer to finish working on my car.
The investigation was concluded and I was advised to submit another claim which was done on 06 Jan 2024. It has since been approved but still, there are issues which appear to be admin-related which is further delaying the repairs on my vehicle.
It has been over 3 months that I have been sitting without a car while I am making payments for services that are not being treated with any form of urgency or any courtesy to their client. I am utterly frustrated and disappointed with how this claim is being handled. It is very frustrating to be busy with a simple claim for over 5 months.
I have sent numerous emails to the complaints department and still nothing. Not even an acknowledgement email.
