Old Mutual refused to carry out repairs or make payment for storm damage on 5 April 2026 claiming lack of maintenance. They refused to pay for contents because they feel that I'm under insured. So must I pay insurance for things that are going to discarded? My Samsung fridge stopped cooling. I sent the technician's report and quote as requested. Nedbank sent their technician that reported a gas leak and lack of maintenance. How was i supposed to detect a leak? Samsung confirmed that the filter is the only maintenance required as it's completely sealed at the back. Nedbank has this tendency to use lack of maintenance as a clause to repudiate claims. I have lost all faith , trust, confidence and respect for Nedbank. Brolink is underwritten by Old Mutual. Again they debit my account religiously but find every excuse not to pay. Now I need to find a service provider that will take care of my property and leave me in the same position I am in as that is the purpose of insurance. Please help!
