Old Mutual
Old Mutual: Omnisure I make use of Integrisure to deal with my insurance needs. They are one of Old Mutual’s brokers. Recently a person plowed into my vehicle. I received official notification that the car’s repairs were authorised. I insisted on proof of this which I then received via email. I then relaxed as all was in order. A week or two later I checked with the panel beaters only to be told that the vehicle had been written off. Naturally, I had a hissy fit of note and actually drove to the brokers to find out what was going on. Then the repair work was “authorised” again. The problem was the assessor from Omnisure. A Mr. Leray Arnolds. It took ages for him to let the panel beaters know about the authorisation and who is on the losing end, well…ME. I now have to be without my car for heaven knows how long because of his arrogance and dereliction of duty. Surely the “customer comes first” statement still applies? I received a message that Mr. Leray Arnolds would contact me at 3 p.m. on that day. Not asking me about a suitable time, oh no…it is all about the time that suits him. To date, no explanation or apology has been received. Also, I thought it was a 70% and not a 60% rule for a vehicle to be written off and surely, as I was not responsible for the accident Old Mutual will be able to retrieve the costs from Outsurance. Or…are all these companies in cahoots? Mr.Arnolds’ email comment was quite abrupt and insensitive. (Please see the exchange of emails which I insisted on emails being cc’d to me). Old Mutual you really need to do some checks on who you appoint, because it is apparent that this assessor has absolutely NO REGARD for the needs of your company’s many clients.
