Mutual & Federal uses assumptions and inaccurate report in order not to pay out

Story to follow after introduction:

" Mutual and Federal declined my claim do to inconsistencies in their report and assumptions made by their assessor and my version of the insurance claim...but after reading through their report (7 months after submitting, and after I had to open a case at the Ombudsman), about 90% of their report was found to be false, and based on assumptions made by their assessor. He literally made up his own answers, not fact checking anything in his report. I was able to proof everything wrong with solid proof, and submitted my proof to the Ombudsman on the same day the report came out. I had to send the report to some of my clients, friends & suppliers to get letters from them proving this report inaccurate and false, finding it very unprofessional, they are even calling me a ***** in this highly inaccurate report, taking a huge swing at my character, no matter what I went through while being ******, I still had to face this from Mutual & Federal.

Worst is their delay in communication, or the lack of it.

In December I went to my broker, and showed him black on white evidence proving everything wrong, Mutual & Federals whole report was inaccurate, with no solid evidence from their side to proof anything their assesor came up with.

My broker took this to them, and sat around the table with them, they promised to came back to us with a answer or settlement in December already since they realized the content of the report wasn't accurate, but this didn't happen. Again beginning January the promised us a answer, and again last week they promissed they will give us an aswer before 19 January 2017....yet again nothing.

So while waiting for the Ombudsman to do their work, I've been sharing my experience and Mutual & Federals report with everyone knowing me, working with me or being a client of mine."

Story:

I was ****** almost a year ago (4 Feb 2016). A claim was sumitted to my broker, and after a 2 week waiting period (later it was show in a email by them that they forgot about it) they assigned a assesor to do a full report on the incident.

Douw from Insofol phoned me, and aked if he could have a meeting, he just needed to go over everything and compile a report for Mutual & Federal, but he needed to see me at my house. After the interview he asked me if he could take some photos of my house content for Mutual & Federal (but after the second drawer I had to open, and a photo of the inside of my wifes underwear closset) it became clear that he was trying to see if I was hiding the claimed equipment.

For another month I had to phone Insofol weekly to find out whats going on, and the answer ranged from not having transport to fetch the police report down to not having time and being busy.

A month after the report was send back to Mutual & Federal, they adviced my broker that will not be paying out, and the reason was not clear, it was only copy paste 4 points out of their terms & conditions, ranging form ********** information supp****, down to I **** in my report.

We were not allowed to get a copy of the report, and I asked my lawyer to help me with the correct wording for a drafted letter to Mutual & Federal complaints department. Do to this the matter was reffered from complaints to Mutual & Federal legal department, and now I had to make use of lawyer for comunicating with their lawyers. After numerous attempts to get the report form their lawyer, or a better explanation, we still got no where, and the communications was / is shocking.

After another 2 months my lawyer adviced me to go the Ombudsman route, and so we submitted our claim in July 2015. More than a month later we got a response from Ombudsman, supplying us with the report that was send to Mutual & Federal in the first place, and their report is so fabrucated and based on assumptions, it's a joke to say the least.

I need a sitdown with M&F, but while I'm waiting I'm employing a ICC lawyer to handle this.
