Loyalty leads to higher premiums !

I have had insurance with M&F for over 20 yrs. In spite of the high premiums, my claims have been minimal & a fraction of the total premiums paid. On advice of my broker, I consolidated all of my insurance under 1 policy, (house owners/holders + 6 vehicles). In the past 3 years I have had a few minor non vehicle claims, & 3 vehicle accident claims, 2 the fault of the other drivers who had cover. Following a recent windscreen claim, M&F decided I was high risk & decided to cancel my cover. I challenged them & they decided to retain the policy but doubled the premium. I have been fighting M&F for 3 yrs for my excesses, but as they have a 'knock for knock' agreement with other insurers, they were reluctant to reimburse me. I spoke to Sue Joyston at M&F Pmbg and she promised that these would be sorted out & the premiums adjusted back. Recently 1 excess was reimbursed & the premium adjusted minimally. Although neither claim was for M&F's account, the premiums on these cars are now 3 1/2 times higher. These idiots are incapable of sorting out a thing. They certainly don't understand good business, & It may just be time to move on. Although their loss, they probably wouldn't flinch.
