I have been waiting for more than 1 Year and still have not been paid by old mutual insurance

I had an accident with one of the drivers for takealot. The matter was taken to their insurance which is old mutual insurance. The matter has dragged for more than a year, this accident occurred in March 2018. I got quotations from three BMW approved panel beaters. It is indicated in all three quotations that the right fender (damaged part) of the car will be painted and the door next to it will be blended to match colours. This is the best practice to ensure that it is not evident that colours are not the same after painting the fender. Usually the colours will not match even if the same colour paint is used, because one paint will be new and the other one is old.

The issue is that Old mutual insurance wants to pay only for the damaged part and they do not want to cover the blending of the door. They argue that is it not part of the damage. However I believe that we must follow the best practice to ensure that my car is restored to the best possible condition as recommended by BMW approved panel beaters. My worry is that the car is still under finance and this might impact its value when I sell it or trade it in. My other concern is they have negotiated with the service provider that they don't have a relationship with, to fix my car. I am not comfortable with taking my car to this service provider because old mutual insurance does not even take their customers’ cars there and possibly they don't even know the level of service that is provided by them.

Already the value of my car is reduced because of this accident. It is the nature of any accident to reduce the value; however I don’t want it to be impacted further. I need my car to be fixed to the best possible condition, this include painting the fender and blending the door to match the colours. I would also like to use the service provider that is vetted and trusted by BMW.
