Disgusted with Claims Service

I had a faulty surge plug and my freezer was off due to this. I alerted Old Mutual of this and of the fact that we had 14 hours without electricity.

My claim was then referred to Internal Special Investigation. Why? Are you implying that i am claiming *****ulently? Do you need a video clip showing you the surge plug is faulty and stays on "wait". When you press the "by-pass" button it goes off.

We had the same problem in March where the electricity was off for hours on end and the same thing happened. It has been referred because it's the second claim for meat, bearing in mind my fridge and washing machine broke and I never claimed, even though I could but I did not want to be flagged as high risk. Also, after purchasing new electronics for my home, I had my cover increased!

Now I am flagged for a claim that is not even big! I wonder if I made the wrong decision going with Old Mutual instead of Outsurance. Our electricity is already going on two hours after loadshedding which is very frustrating!

This is not what you say when you give the quote for cover!

So now I am beyond frustrated! This is week two of my claim. Your SIU was at my house and I forwarded everything I possibly could to him via email. I call to your claims department and I am now being told that I have an unpaid pro-rata balance due to the increased cover I had done. Nobody told me that it was due immediately and I assumed it would be part of my next debit on the 15th! If that is not the case, why did you not debit my account!!! Nobody explains processes and time frames to you and when you alert them of this fact, the claim consultants gets irritated with you, which I don't appreciate! I have had impeccable service since the start of my policy with OM Insure and I don't know what has changed! They give you Assessors like Maritza who sends a generic email and when you respond, no answer!

I am ****ed off and I want this matter resolved today!!!
