Conflicting reports from Old mutual insurance
Good day I am insured by Quicksure with the policy underwritten by Old Mutual Insure on the March 2025 we had a power surge caused by an unplanned repair by the municipality and this caused my TV and decoder both to blow. I contacted Quicksure on the 1st April 2025 to report the matter a service provider approved by Quicksure was sent out on 2nd April they uplifted the unit and did a analysis and returned the unit a day later and was told they have completed whatever they needed to do. I called Quicksure several times after and was the mater was referred to Old Mutual Insure. After 21 days of mutual insure required a second report and 2 days later sent thru a letter of reputation on grounds that tbe unit was too old hence it not working. I disagree on the Ff terms
This is my 3rd claim on my policy and on all other claims it's only after disputing the out was it paid How could the TV, decoder and multi plugs that have surge protectors all blow because the TV was old My microwave also stopped working but after inspection it was actually the surge protector on the microwave socket that blew so I called old mutual insure and removed the microwave from the claim How is that 4 other homes in the same block that I live on also had their appliances blow their insurance companies had all paid out within a week Why did old mutual insure request a second report and not go with the first report they received Why did the claim process take 24 days to get to a decision
After all these questions I request LG electronics to intervene and they referred me to approved service provider who advised the FF
