CLAIM REJECTION FROM OLD MUTUAL

Good day

I would like to give a review about above mentioned company. I have joined insurance 2013 for my house contents.

On the 06.07.2023 submitted a claim of Fridge that was broken then OM gave me R2150.00. I fixed the fridge

30.08.2024 submitted a claim for the same fridge that went dead.

On the 09.09.2024 I received rejection letter from OM. 1. I was told the claim is rejected due electronic breakdown that is not covered for. 2. The unit has undergone extensive repairs and modifications in the past, and it is no longer in its original condition. My answer to this was I have fixed the fridge last year the time it was broken, how can unit be the original if it was fixed before. I didn't take the fridge to Defy as I couldn't afford that unit from them.

OM said I can dispute the rejection which I did on the 25.09.2024, when the dispute came back was still declined.

I am so disappointed with OM as the loyal customer since 2013 for them to reject my claim in desperate times.
