Bad service’s
My fridge/refrigerator packed up. O/M insure said i must get someone out to check it. After the report they said they will send out one of their selected service providers to come check. They sent a refrigeration technician who told me he had no formal electrical qualifications. He tested for power on the control card. Took a picture of the control card and the d/board of the house. My claim was rejected due to an electrical failure. I got an electrical company out to check and they said my surge arrestor failed and it caused the control card to fail. I contacted O/M insure and after a few days they responded and this is what their supplier reported (Me asking a question)How could he make a call that it's an electrical/ electronic failure. He is not an electrical person. - We understand your concern! While the refrigeration technician may not be an electrician, they do have extensive experience in fridge assessments and repairs. They are trained to identify issues, including electrical failures, based on their knowledge and hands-on experience. In this case, the issue with the PCB board is related to an electrical breakdown. This happens when small components overheat or fail due to age and regular use, making it difficult for them to handle the power flow over time. As the unit is 5-10 years old and in used condition, this kind of breakdown is quite common. So what i assume is that O/M insure does not cover you if your appliances are older than five years old. I ask then for the e-mail of ombudsman and up till today no response of any of the 4 that was copied in. My concern is how can OM insure accept a guys report that does not have an electronic or an electrical qualification and that only took two pictures to give such a report. Over a mont i am battling already.
