Bad attitude towards keeping me as a long client

I managed to get a better/cheaper offer from a competitor for affordable reasons than what I'm getting now from Mutual and Federal. I told my broker this, they said they will try and find out if Mutual and Federal won't beat this, with their response, their not even trying to beat it or doing anything to keep me, that is bad additude and no willingness. This is also bad customer service on their part.
