Abysmal Service - 3rd Party Claimant

One only has to look at the amount of reports on this and similar insurance providers on Hellopeter to realise why 70% of drivers are NOT INSURED. Their driver skipped a stop street and hit our beach buggy on 16/03/15.
We worked through the insured's broker, who contacted the insurance company. All requirements were provided by 07/04/15. My husband then repaired the car himself as he is a registered motor mechanic with his own business and, after contacting a number of shops he deals with, nobody else wanted to quote on the repair. We must phone Cape Town (their HO) at two-weekly intervals for feedback. They promise to get onto the assessor (last four times, ie. 8 weeks) and get back to us. We are still waiting. We have seen their insured driving his car around - already repaired - while we, the innocent party are still trying to reclaim our money from his insurer. Every time we speak to him, he tells us the insurance company says they'll pay. My husband is beginning to think that the only way to get our money back is to lay a ******** charge against their client, as he skipped the stop street and get the money through the court.
It just leaves a bad taste in the mouth.
