Inverter Battery Saga with Mustek
Our Mecer inverter went into Mustek on 11 January 2023. (Call Number/Job Number: 12485.) The inverter was purchased in February 2022 and the batteries are not holding charge, so consequently it is not lasting for two hours to cover loadshedding. They have informed us that it will take 4 to 12 weeks to source new batteries. Charlie's attitude from the Technical Department when we informed him we would take it further, said do what you want. We purchased the inverter for the purpose of working from home due to Covid and for loadshedding. We are not getting any positive feedback and being pushed from one person to another. The CEO, Vishal, does not return the call and gets someone else, David, to phone back. David claimed that there is a shortage all over of these 100amp batteries. When my husband said we sourced them, which we did, he said I will get back to you. David has just returned the phone call to say their stock is on the way and will be here today and it will be ready by Monday. If we could source these batteries from Johannesburg, why have they not attempted to try and source batteries, not only for me but for the other clients to that are awaiting these batteries. Their after-sale customer service is non-existent.
