Fine Service From Mustek Bloemfontein

Load shedding had us at out wits end on a Kalahari farm, but due to financial year end we were pressed for time to buy our solar outfit, and everywhere stocks were depleted. We couldn’t get the inverter we wanted, and our installer recommended a Mecer. According to him a good product, never giving him problems in five years. Other than some other inverters, the cooling fans of the Mecer never stops, they always run, albeit very slowly when there is little activity. We got a 2 kW geyser element and the 5,5 kW inverter never generated more than 3 kW, and not for extensive periods. But then the fans were working up a had of steam. After four months the fans started screeching as they picked up speed with a heavier load. I went to see the supplier in town. They said the installer will have to come out first and have a look. I said it is unnecessary, I know it is the fans screeching. I contacted the installer for advice, but he played unconscious too, with the retailer. In my owners manual, the Trouble Shooting section recommends “Return to the Repair Center” for a lot of problems, but not if there is a problem with a fan. “Replace the fan”. Only problem is that one cannot get to the fans without removing the sealed ***** which will void the warranty. I then decided to contact Mustek, the distributors of Mecer products, to see if I could get two fans from them. My heart sank into my shoes when I checked out Mustek on Hello Peter and found 119 one star reviews compared to 16 five star reviews, with very little in between. But here is the good part of the story. I phoned Mustek in Bloemfontein and got hold of Mr Thokozane Mzimande, or also better known as TK. I told him my story and he was nothing but very friendly and helpful. He couldn’t convince me to take the inverter to Kimberley (400 kms away) to replace the fans, which he said would take 2 – 3 days. But he was completely ready and willing to get me two fans from Johannesburg. So I paid over the money and he ordered. After a week he sent an email that my fans have arrived and my brother picked it up for me and sent it to me with family traveling. Now that I have the fans in my hands, and with a 1,5 kW element we are even softer on the inverter, I can also see how to spray in something without breaking the seal, to keep the originals ones running for longer. All in all, only a very pleasant experience with Mustek in Bloemfontein, and specifically TK Mzimande. From what I have experienced, anyone having a problem or needing a product can contact him with confidence, and I am sure he will do his utmost to meet the need of the client.
