Dissatisfied: Mecer tablets - screen cracks after2 months of use and they not willing to assist but hiding under Takealot's skirt

I bought a Mecer tablet from Takealot. After 2 months of purchase the screen cracked and they not willing to exchange or repair. Their product manager Anle Els keeps on referring me back to Takealot to get a serial number when the tablet is at Takealot. How difficult can it be for Mecer to just speak to their seller?????. - its over 2 weeks now that I queried with them and I keep on being told " Go to Takealot to get a serial number of the tablet" UNACCEPTABLE!
