Misleading warranty policy

Recently purchased a pair of jbl E45BT headphones for the retail price of R1300. Just over 4 months later took them as I noticed the EARPADS were started to get loose and becoming detached from the the headphone. Figured as it was within the six month warranty period that a replacement would be awarded but was rather told that this was wear and tear. Have to now writing two weeks for a repair to be done
