Voice To Be Heard
Due to unfortunate events I write this complaint to air my frustration not only to point out the bad service and management but to also make aware of what companies like this are making the general public fall victim to. On 11 January 2015 I had signed a 12 month contract with Muscle and Fitness Pinetown. During this period all went well as it should have. The service was great and up to standard facilities and regular monthly subscriptions payments were made. On 1 January 2016 I had attended the gym to have my last gym session and accordingly attended to cancel by contract with reception and was verbally told that my contract was cancelled. Unfortunately this was my down fall as I should have been told that I had to sign the relevant documentation in order to cancel my contract. As planned I subsequently moved to Gauteng. Two years later I ascertained by back tracking through my bank statements that Muscle and Fitness had still been debiting my account with the sum of R359.00 which is calculated at 24 months x R350.00 = R8616.00. I then contacted Muscle and Fitness and spoke to both the administration, Loveness and the general manager, Percy. After tedious phone calls I received both bad service being passed from one person to another and the non-return of phone calls. I requested proof of notification that they had advised me that my 12 month contract had ended but to date have not received a reply. I would dearly like to be compensated as we all know these are difficult economical times but as reality hits, I know this is not to be. So I will take the second option and let my voice be heard and my experience noted. I am tired of these overpaid corporate companies who taking advantage with the small print and force a person into dead end options when their staff are not trained and competent enough to do their jobs properly. A person is not handed a copy of the signed contract but in essence the company is quick to take a person’s hard earned money without providing the required service of feedback and follow up as we all well know. Muscle and Fiteness’ moto is: ‘Leadership is not a position or title, it’s an action and example’. I fail to find the leadership, action or example here and put the whole incident down to negligence and bad service from management. Muscle & Fitness, Knowles Shopping Centre, Bamboo Lane, Pinetown. Percy, management and Loveness, administration Telephone no. ********** E-mail: ********** and **********
