Musa Electronics Lenasia, what a botched Job on my Samsung Curve TV!!!

Hello Peter. Our experience with Musa Electronics, in Lenasia was a horrible one. My parents took in a Samsung curve tv for repairs on almost 3 months ago for repairs. The store has never made the efforts to update my parents on the progress of the tv, instead my parents were the one constantly calling seeking progress reports. Fast forward 2months later, my parents called the store and said they are collecting the tv. Musa, the store owner, showed my mum a tv that was almost ready, the tv was switching on, picture quality was great, only issue was that the center put of the screen was still black. Musa then asked that my parents and I give him a week, then he calls us to come collect the tv. We resolved that we could give him a maximum of two weeks because we know that they never keep to the time frames that they communicate. Two weeks turned into four. On the 17th of May, my parents and went to the shop to check on the tv, when we got to the shop, the picture quality was very poor, not that of HD but rather VHS cassette player. We were not happy to pay a full price for that and requested that we rather negotiate a price. The initial price for fixing the tv was R2800 and Musa wanted to give us the tv at R2500. This we could not accept because not only was the quality of VHS, but there were those disturbing lines that they said they cannot remove. Subsequent to this, Precious calls my mum and says that she is not willing to renegotiate a price because of the "work" and "components" they put into fixing the tv. She said in a condescending way, that they will rather remove the components that they put in the tv and give us our tv back. When my mum asked if they will then return the components that the tv came with, she responded "NO, BECAUSE YOU WON'T PAY ME FOR THE LABOUR".

Now Peter I need your advice. We are willing to pay the shop for the work done on the TV however, we are not willing to pay the full amount of R2800 for a tv that is in that state. I mean just because a "mechanic put a pringle tin in place of an exhaust does not mean the exhaust is fixed" you know.

How can my parents be assisted in this regard?
