"You might be one water bottle less but you gained a long term client"

I am a roadrunner and for the Holidays I went home in Njube township in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. On Monday 2 January 2017 I decided to attempt a 42km run. I started my run from Njube township proceeded to City Centre which is about 6km from Njube. As I did not know which route I was taking I told myself I will keep running until I reach 42km because I was monitoring my distance. As I was running towards Burnside suburbs I saw a sign on the road that read "8km to Munda Lodge" I said to myself great let me use Munda Lodge as my Map because if I ran 8km going and 8km back I would have done 16km plus the 6km I already did, it would be 22km then I will be left with 20km. I ran to Munda following the road signs which were very clear. While running I decided that i will use Munda Lodge as my 1st water point and recover a bit. I got to Munda Lodge gate. I pressed the intercom and the gate was opened immediately. I entered ,walked towards the reception, I got there I met a gentleman who greeted me and introduced himself as Xolisani Moyo and offered me a seat. I told him i would rather stand to keep blood circulation in my legs. While all this was happening my eyes were glued on the Water cooler with a corner of my eye as I was thirsty after running my 1st 17km without drinking water. I apologised and told him that I'm here to ask for water only as I was running by. He went in to another room, I thought he was going to get a cup for me to use at the water cooler. To my surprised he brought a sealed bottle of water. I thanked him and I drank . I told him , while I was there already I can as well find out the rates of the lodge. He showed me a pumplet with prices which were reasonable. He took his time to explain different packages.Even though he knew I came to ask water nothing else. So I told him I am a Personal Trainer based in Johannesburg and I'm running from Njube township which he didn't believe I ran to Munda Lodge. I told him I still got a long way to go. He asked where in Johannesburg I'm based. I said Sandton then he looked at me in disbelief and said "wow" my Twin brother is based in Sandton too and he is a Trainer at a boxing gym there. We exchanged numbers , I told him he can follow my Fitness page on FB to see if I made it safely. We said our goodbyes then I left with the water bottle which in my 42km run (Yes I completed my 42km) I was refilling it at petrol stations. That water bottle made my run easier. As a person with customer service background i say Xolisani could have given me tap water or pointed me to the water cooler but he decided to give me bottled water. To Munda Lodge owners and senior staff members i say "you might be one bottle of water less but you have gained a client", as I will be bringing my family for few days stay in April. If all goes well I will be bringing my business to Bulawayo for soon and I will definitely recommend Munda Lodge to my guest for the excellent service. To anyone travelling to Bulawayo i recommend this place, situated just 8km from the City centre. Munda Lodge is blessed to have someone like you working for them. Apart from the 5 star service I received from Xolisani I believe I was meant to becthere on the day and get the Twin brothers contacts. I am back in Johannesburg and I will contact Xolani, Xolisani's twin.

Kind Regards

Tim Mumba
**********
