Poor Service Delivery
I purchased an 8-litre Instant Pot (IPDUO80) from Multi Furniture and Appliances Online on 25 November 2025. The order went through successfully, and the product was clearly listed as in stock. However, I was only notified a week later — on 2 December — that the item was allegedly out of stock.
Since then, MFA has provided vague responses such as “awaiting feedback,” “shortly,” and most recently, “we are awaiting stock next week,” without providing a concrete delivery date. Being made to wait while they attempt to source an item that was in stock at the time of purchase did not seem legally or ethically correct. Their handling of the situation shows a clear lack of accountability, responsibility, and urgency, causing significant stress and inconvenience.
According to the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), if a supplier cannot provide the exact item purchased, they must offer a replacement of equal or better value, at no extra cost, and within a reasonable time. MFA has attempted to force me to downgrade, pay extra, or cancel the order — all of which violate the CPA.
I have formally escalated this matter to the National Consumer Commission (NCC) and the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (CGSO), as I do not accept these delays or the substandard handling of my purchase.
This has been an extremely frustrating and unpleasant experience. I warn other consumers to be cautious when ordering from MFA Online, as their service, communication, and fulfillment practices are highly unreliable.
