Damaged bed

On Saturday, 02-08-25, I bought a bed from Multi Furniture, Kokstad branch. I didn’t have a rope to tie it down, so I went around town to find one. When we were setting it up to tie it, we discovered that the mattress was damaged. They had placed it flat position when they loaded it on the Bakkie, but when we lifted it on the side to tie it, that’s when we noticed the damage.

Not even 10 minutes passed before we went back to the shop to report it. The manager at Kokstad branch, named Phumza, said they don’t release damaged items, so the bed is damaged on our side. We tried to explain that we hadn’t even arrived at our destination as they also noted that the destination is Mount Ayliff, but she dismissed us and said we must figure it out ourselves. She left us there with no resolution, zero customer service.

In my entire life I have never experienced such bad service. Now I am stuck with a damaged bed, yet I paid a full price for it
