Multi Fitment Centre (MFC) disappointment
I took my car for repairs at the Multi Fitment Centre in Parow, Cape Town. It had an engine problem and wouldn't start. They told me "they can fix it. It'll take about a week". A week went by. During that week, they kept on asking me for more money since they were picking up more problems with the car. Without hesitation, I paid what they asked for, a total of R14000.00 . They told me that the car also needed a service which they had marked as 'done' on the receipt. Anyway, they told me to collect the car since, to their liking, "it was done". In under a month, my car breaks done in the middle of the freeway (N1) and I had to call a friend of mine to come over and help me tow my car back to my place. I went back to Mfc and told them of my issue and that my car wasn't fixed as they promised. They did nothing about it. So I took it to another place and they informed me that the mechanics I had taken to prior to them, did the worst possible job on it. The head gasket had blown and the engine had no oil in it. MFC didn't even give back my spare tyre and now the repair costs are over R40000+. I cannot afford this and I urge those planning to use this branch of MFC to stay clear! I'm very unhappy about this.
