Grievance about harassment against multiskill training centre students

Hi my name is Thando August I'm writing to you on behalf on my sisters whose name I cannot dilvage because of her privacy and dignity,my sisters embarked on the 3 year chieta apprenticeship program last in march ,she signed a CHIETA contract under multiskill training centre alongside other students ,she said some of their contracts were erased with tipax on the stipend field and some were written an amount of R7000 but they were told they will receive a stipend of about R3000 and when they raised questions about it they had been told they are lucky to tbe in the program,they should be grateful so they should ask so many questions ,they dont even receive payslips,they dont even have toolboxes and the proper persanal protective equipment, and some students are the companies without even having toolboxes,chemical industry education and training authority(CHIETA) officials once visited the centre last year and the students were told not to spill the beans about it cause it's cause so much drama,their jobs would be on the line so students did just that, they kept quiet about it because they were afraid to lose their program and they were hoping things will change over time,they been silenced and threatened, they being exploited and their rights are being violated ,since the cost of living is too high these they find it hard to meet their monthly basic needs.that is reason I decided to write to this website,and I hope one day multiskill students will find peace and financial freedom.
