Wooden House Review

I had the pleasure of working with Ruan and Dewald of Muller Conradie Projects on the restoration of a particularly challenging timber home in The Crags, near Plettenberg Bay.

The house had fallen into significant disrepair and featured many unconventional angles and unusual shapes. Because the original plans were old and largely unusable, I had to remeasure the entire house and prepare a new set of construction drawings from scratch. Given the tricky and unconventional nature of the building, we mutually agreed that these drawings would serve as a practical guideline, with close project management required to accommodate the inevitable adjustments on site.

Throughout the process, Ruan and Dewald were exceptionally accommodating, respectful, and solutions-driven. They approached every challenge with a positive attitude and a genuine willingness to achieve the best possible outcome. Their calm and transparent manner inspired confidence, and there were never any hidden agendas, just honest communication and a strong commitment to the project.

Their team was equally impressive. The site was consistently well organised, and the crew worked efficiently and professionally without wasting time.

This was not an easy project, but Ruan and Dewaldhandled it with integrity, patience, and professionalism. They were an absolute pleasure to work with, and I would not hesitate to recommend Muller Conradie Projects to anyone looking for a capable and trustworthy building contractor.
