Worst lunch ever

As a consumer in the modern day South Africa, it has become rather common place to receive sub par service and not have an opportunity to do or say something about the issue but the weekend past was just the pinnacle of both bad management and very bad customer service.

Myself and my family had gone down to Durban for the weekend to celebrate my parents wedding anniversary. I had, with my partner, decided to take them all through to the one establishment that I have always known to have excellent service and wonderful food. To my disgust I arrived at the Mugg and Bean on the Go at Hypermarket by the Sea. We were taken to a table and the drinks order was placed immediately. The waiter firstly did not repeat the order back to us and then did not explain thay the shop only has one freezo machine. We subsequently sat for a further 20 minutes before my partner stood up and went to ask for our order. The waiter brought the items to the table and when handing them out to us he gave the to the wrong people and then when asked what they were he rep****…”I don’t know!”

At this point I started getting a little worried because of I have to go find my order, what would happen to my lunch order. So giving the benefit of the doubt, I place a good order. Yet again it took 20 minutes and an enquiry by myself to the manager to actually get some action on the food. It was 2 wraps, a brownie and salad bucket and that in 20 minutes???? You tell me if that is correct.

Once the meal, which was utterly tasteless was finished I asked the waiter for the bill and asked him if we can also get the card machine. He very speedily ran to the counter and got the machine with the bill. I removed my debit card from my wallet to pay and was told very surprisingly by the waiter that :” Sorry! But this machine only takes credit cards!” In what time or place has this ever been the case. If So, why was there no mention made or a poster put up. Once typing in the invoice amount, my waiter looked at the print out and very derisively snorted and commented :” What? No tip?”. That was the final straw for me. After shoddy customer service and then sub par food he still has the audacity to expect a tip. Well here is a tip for you… Go back to the training course that I know all famous brand foods staff go on and ask your facilitator for the company's money back.

I will be awaiting a response from one of your customer care agents.

After spending R322 at a store for disgusting service and food I don't think I will ever return.

The freezing was also just large chunks of ice not even crushed.

I await your response with not too a bated breath.
