Waitress by the name of Charity went extra mile

Last week I ordered a take away meal from Mugg & Bean @ The Square, Farrarmere. <br> The bill came to R107.95.<br> To my great dismay & embarrassment, when it came to paying the bill, my credit card was not going through. I did not have the full amount to pay the waitress in cash, I had R100 cash on me, and was exactly R7.95 short.<br> I told the waitress by the name of Charity that I would need to put something back and she kindly said to me it was OK, and I could bring the money to her the next day.<br> In other words, she would put in the difference herself, and trust me (a virtual stranger) to honour my word and come back with the difference in payment.<br> I know R7.95 (excl. tip) is not a lot of money, but to waiters and waitresses every cent counts and I sincerely feel that Charity displayed great generosity of spirit towards me in that situation.<br> I returned the next day with the difference in payment I owed plus a nice big tip to thank her.<br> People like Charity are few and far between, and I sincerely hope she is acknowledged & commended by Mugg & Bean management for being a star employee :)
